Simple websites typically run from $250 to $500, depending on how advanced the functionality is and how much formatting is involved. Sites with few pages and limited layout can run even lower.
Example: A simple landing page; a four-page informative website; a site promoting and selling a single product or service; a personal blog; a portfolio site.

Typical business websites, which generally include database functionality, CMS, shopping carts, and other backend coding, generally go from $500 to $1,000, based on the complexity and amount of backend coding.
Examples: A retail site; a directory site; a forum; a content or article-based site.

Most member-driven websites, which tend to have large databases, lots of backend scripting and dynamic functionality, and often advanced social and media functions, range from $1,000 to $2,500.
Examples: A wholesale site; A video site; a complex forum with unique features in different areas; a social networking site; a dating site; an auction site.

High-end corporate websites requiring significant advanced or unique functionality can run as much as $3,000 or more. To date, however, we have not yet had a site that we have felt required us to charge more than $2,500, although we have rebuilt sites for people who had originally paid SEVERAL THOUSAND MORE!
